Getting the Perfect Outdoor Furniture
Interior decorating can be challenging from inside and outside the house. If you have a large patio or backyard, putting the right outdoor furniture requires going out of the typical interior decorating mold. You can’t be using throw pillows or cushions into the open. Neither can interior furniture sets with their more delicate designs and finishes work outside as they won’t survive the next summer sun or the next rain or snowfall. Table or wall lamps won’t do as well.
But will they be expensive? No more expensive than what you have inside the house. In fact, some of the best garden furniture can be a just cut tree trunk for a table or a large boulder with a flat top. The seats can similarly be fashioned from these materials. What qualities do you need for one?
The simplest and even the crudest can blend well in a natural setting of manicured greens and hedges. The only requirement is for them to withstand constant everyday exposure to the elements and the weather. That mean wrought iron and steel painted or treated to protect them from rust will do.
Wood is the best as they blend perfectly in any natural setting. But you need to know the right kind of wood. It’s not a problem to find the right one as most furniture shops have a special inventory of garden sets that are specifically designed and treated for the purpose.
Teak garden furniture sets are easily accessible from just about any furniture maker. They teak hardwood is preferred for its natural resiliency against the elements even when not artificially treated or painted. They are best left in their natural state as the mature teak wood contains natural resinous oils that protect them from rot and fungal decay. They also contain silica that make for a more wood density that prevents warping and shrinking under extremes of weather.
If you have a mature right in your garden, a teak bench seat around it offers the most space-saving furniture. Benches are ideal. A simple visit to the public parks will show them to be just about everywhere. There are many types of benches such as a banana bench, java bench, Marlboro bench, a half moon bench or a swing bench. Whether with arm rests or not, any of them can enhance the look of your garden.
Tables are likewise basic in any furniture, whether inside our outdoors. Nothing fancy, but you can opt for folding teak tables so can easily moved them around the garden wherever you want them.
